Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CastPlan at castplan.fish ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The Service

CastPlan is a fishing trip planning app that provides tide data, weather conditions, spot recommendations, and related tools for recreational anglers. The Service is provided "as is" for informational and recreational purposes only.

Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You may not share your account with others
  • You must be 13 years or older to use CastPlan

Subscriptions & Payments

CastPlan offers free and paid subscription tiers. Angler can be billed monthly or annually; Pro Guide Early Access is billed monthly via Stripe.

Free trial

Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be billed.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

Price changes

We'll give you 30 days notice before any price increases. You can cancel before the new price takes effect.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or copy the Service
  • Share, sell, or resell access to the Service
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content
  • Abuse or harass other users or our team

Fishing Regulations Disclaimer

CastPlan provides fishing regulation information as a convenience only. Regulations change frequently and vary by location, season, and species.

⚠️ Always verify current regulations with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) at myfwc.com before fishing. CastPlan is not responsible for regulatory violations.

Tide & Conditions Data

Tide, weather, and conditions data is sourced from NOAA, Open-Meteo, and other public APIs. This data is provided for informational purposes. Always exercise good judgment on the water and check official sources before heading out. CastPlan is not responsible for decisions made based on data provided in the app.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and data in CastPlan is owned by CastPlan or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CastPlan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost catches, property damage, or personal injury. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@castplan.fish.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We'll notify active users of material changes via email.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
