CastPlan ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using CastPlan at castplan.fish, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Account data

When you create an account we collect your email address. We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address unless you provide it voluntarily.

Usage data

We collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the app. We do not sell or share this data with third parties for advertising.

Logbook data

Catches you log are stored on our servers (Supabase) and associated with your account. You can delete your logbook entries at any time.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the CastPlan service
  • To send transactional emails (sign-in links, receipts)
  • To manage your subscription via Stripe
  • To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL, hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and regularly review our infrastructure.

Third-Party Services

CastPlan uses the following third-party services:
  • Supabase — authentication and database
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN
  • NOAA / Open-Meteo — weather and tide data (no personal data shared)

Your Rights

You have the right to:
  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export your logbook data
  • Opt out of non-transactional emails

Cookies

CastPlan uses minimal cookies — only what's required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's Privacy

CastPlan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify active users of material changes via email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
